1. CARIBBEAN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION

Embrace the rhythm of the Caribbean this June as The LOOP on Fort Lauderdale Beach proudly presents the Second Annual Caribbean American Heritage Month Celebration throughout the month. Rooted in The LOOP’s commitment to engagement and its mission to provide an “Infinite Experience for Everyone Under the Sun,” the celebration at Las Olas Oceanside Park promises a colorful showcase of Caribbean culture through food, art, music and entertainment. 2. OLD TOWN UNTAPPED FINALE

The 2023-2024 Old Town Untapped season in Pompano Beach is coming to a close, with the grand finale from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 7. Attendees can expect a festive evening filled with rock, reggae and surfing tunes by Pompano Beach’s up-and-coming trio, The Barefoot Mailmen. The Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (41 NE 1st St.) will also host the last exhibition of the semester’s Artists in Residence, offering visitors the chance to explore and appreciate the local art scene. 3. JUNETEENTH JUKE JOINT

The third annual JUNETEENTH JUKE JOINT is set to take place at 7:30 p.m. on June 13 at the Ziff Ballet Opera House, hosted by The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. The event will feature a live performance by STOUT, whose unique sound is deeply rooted in gospel and soul, blended with elements of jazz, rock, hip-hop, pop and more. The event celebrates the rich history of Black music, culture, and food in the American South. Tickets are $45. (arshtcenter.org)

 4. SUMMER IN THE CITY CONCERT SERIES 

The City of Boca Raton is hosting its free “Summer in the City” concert series in June at the Mizner Park Amphitheater (590 Plaza Real). All Friday concerts start at 8 p.m., and doors open at 7 p.m. The show on Sunday, June 23 will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. The performers include Caribbean Chillers – A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett on June 14; Rock of ABBA on June 21; FAU Summer Concert Band on June 23; and China Grove – A Tribute to the Doobie Brothers on June 28.
