Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez will miss Saturday’s La Liga match against Real Betis with a muscular injury.
Martinez has been a regular in the defence of Hansi Flick’s side this season, starting 36 matches across all competitions.
The 33-year-old will miss the visit of in-form Betis, who have won each of their most recent six La Liga fixtures.

Martinez’s absence is likely to mean centre-back Pau Cubarsi is partnered by either Eric Garcia or Ronald Araujo in the heart of the defence.
Last month, the Spain international signed a one-year contract extension to keep him at the Catalan club through to the summer of 2026.
Barcelona are currently three points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga and they will host Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday, a match in which Martinez will be targeting a return to action.
