Countryside Partnerships has been named as the replacement contractor on a 215-home development in Cheshire.
Lane End Developments, which went into administration in April 2023 after takeover talks failed, was due to deliver the circa £41m Pavilion Park scheme in Helsby for housing association Onward Homes.
Onward Homes announced this week that the Vistry-owned housebuilder is taking over the job.
Sandy Livingstone, executive director – property at Onward Homes, said: “As a national housebuilder we’ve worked with in the past, Countryside shares our commitment to improving the quality and choice of homes across the region.
“We are excited to announce that work will soon recommence on site, bringing forward the first phase of affordable homes to meet local demand.
“In total, Pavilion Park will provide 85 new homes for affordable rent, 100 homes for shared ownership and 30 available via Rent to Buy.”
The first homes will be available next year.
Warrington-based Lane End was founded in 2016 and posted a pre-tax profit of £244,936 on turnover of £81.1m in the year to 31 May 2022, its last published set of accounts.
Some 112 staff were made redundant in April 2023 when it became clear the firm had insufficient working capital to carry on trading in administration.
It owed nearly £12m when it went into administration with Jeremy Woodside and Frank Ofonagoro from Quantuma Advisory.
Lane End’s administration period was extended on 26 March. Rehan Ahmed replaced Ofonagoro as a joint administrator on 2 January.
