Colorado football has become such a sensation that the Buffaloes sold out all home games for the 2023 season, the school announced Tuesday. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The feat marks the first time in school history the program has sold out a season.
  • The Buffs already sold out their home-opening win over Nebraska, last weekend’s win against Colorado State and upcoming matchups against USC, Stanford and Oregon State.
  • Colorado rounded out its sold-out slate by selling all tickets to its final home game against Arizona on Nov. 11.

The Athletic’s instant analysis:

Sanders’ instant impact

Regardless of what happens on the field, Colorado is already enjoying the benefits of the Prime Effect. Between merchandise sales and skyrocketing single-game and season ticket sales, this is why athletic director Rick George hired Sanders.

Whether or not Colorado won its opener at TCU and subsequent games, Sanders has immediately injected life into a program without a pulse. There’s real value in that. And Colorado is enjoying learning that now. — Ubben

Sanders’ extreme roster overhaul during the offseason created plenty of buzz and intrigue as he tries to improve a program that hasn’t won more than five games since 2016.

The Buffaloes are 3-0 after an electric 45-42 upset of TCU, a 36-14 rout over Nebraska in their home opener and a 43-35 double overtime win against Colorado State on Saturday.
