It is hard to see past Verstappen making it four drivers championships in a row this season, and last weekend’s victory has helped him establish a similar lead to the one he had at this stage last season.
Victory in Barcelona — last year’s seventh race — moved him 53 points clear of nearest rival and team-mate Perez.
That gap, as just mentioned, is 48 points coming into this weekend and he will be confident of extending that further on Sunday.
