Willian has left Olympiacos only six months into a one-year deal.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal winger signed a contract with the Greek side in September, having been a free agent after leaving Fulham in May.
“Olympiacos FC wishes all the best to Willian in the next steps of his massive career. He will always have a family in Piraeus,” an Olympiacos statement read.
Willian added on social media: “Thank you Olympiacos. All the best for the upcoming challenges.”
Willian was on close to £100,000 a week at Olympiacos, who share owner Evangelos Marinakis with Premier League side Nottingham Forest, but made just three starts and eight substitute appearances in the first half of the season.
The 36-year-old had spent the previous two campaigns with Marco Silva’s Fulham, scoring 10 goals in 67 appearances in all competitions. Willian confirmed he was leaving Fulham in August despite being offered a contract extension at the end of the 2023-24 season, when his previous deal ran out.
Willian first made the move to England in 2013 when he signed for Chelsea from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. He spent seven years at Chelsea, making 339 appearances and won the Premier League twice, before joining Arsenal. His time in north London lasted only one season before he rejoined Brazilian side Corinthians.
Olympiacos sit top of the Greek Super League and are a point ahead of PAOK after 16 matches.
