Just Launched VW Taigun 1.0 GT Line: First Look On Video


Volkswagen, along with the launch of the Taigun GT Sport Plus, has also launched the all-new Taigun GT Line variant in India. For a while, 1.0-litre TSI engine owners have been demanding to get the GT treatment for the SUV. So, fulfilling this need, Volkswagen has launched the new Taigun GT Line variant. This model has been launched with a starting price of Rs 14.04 lakh. Recently, the first-ever YouTube video of this new model’s walkaround has been shared online.

This video of the first Taigun GT Line variant has come courtesy of Manish Negi’s Vlog from YouTube. It starts off with the presenter giving a brief introduction of the new Taigun GT Line model. Following this, he starts with the detailed walkaround of this model.

The presenter, following the introduction of the model, starts the walkaround at the front of the Taigun GT Line. He states that it does not look any different from the Taigun GT Sport Plus on the outside. It gets the same LED headlights with LED DRLs and LED turn indicators as well.

Next up, the presenter adds that the car also gets a high-gloss black grille. It also comes with clean-looking fog light surrounds in high-gloss black. Apart from this, the main highlight is the addition of the red GT badge on the front grille.

Following this, the presenter then shows the side profile of the car. The same GT badges have been placed on the front fenders. It also comes with the same 17-inch gloss wheels. The only noticeable difference is that it does not get red-painted brake calipers.

Finally, the presenter then shows the rear end of the SUV. He states that the rear too gets the same design. The only difference is that the Taigun and TSI badges are finished in black color.

Coming to the interior, the vlogger shows that the car comes with the same exact interior as the standard and GT Line variants. The only few key differences are black-colored rolfi, fabric, and leatherette mixed upholstery and a few other small details.

It also gets the same 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. This screen comes with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. It also gets the same automatic climate control system as well. However, the only major difference is the absence of ventilated front seats.

Taigun GT Line: Engine details

The main highlight of the Taigun GT Line is its engine. Earlier, the GT badge was only reserved for the bigger 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. However, this time around it is being offered with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine.

This motor generates a maximum power of 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. It is being offered with a six-speed manual as well 6-speed automatic transmission option. The new Taigun GT Line starts at Rs 14,08,400 for the manual transmission option. Meanwhile, the automatic transmission variant is priced at Rs 15,63,400.
