Materials:
- One square piece of paper
- Glue stick
Step 1:
Start with a square piece of origami paper with the white side facing up.
Step 2:
Fold the paper diagonally in half, then unfold it.
Step 3:
Fold the right and left corners towards the center to create the shape of a kite.
Step 4:
Flip the paper upside down and fold the other corners towards the center, creating a diamond shape.
Step 5:
Fold the diamond in half along the center crease to form a triangle.
Step 6:
Take the back flap and fold it towards the front, making sure the end is above the middle crease of the back layer.
Step 7:
Fold down the top layer and flatten it to create a point at the top.
Step 8:
Open the right side of the triangle, unfold the two flaps on the front, and flatten it pointing to the right.
Step 9:
Congratulations! You’ve completed one part of the star. Now, repeat steps 1-8 four more times to create the remaining star tips.
Step 10:
Using a glue stick, glue the parts together. Start by inserting the wider side of a finished corner between two flaps of the thinner section of another paper. Make sure you use enough glue on both inner sides to keep the star securely glued together.
Step 11:
Repeat the gluing process with the remaining pieces until all the sides are connected. Your origami star is now complete and ready to shine!
