Manchester United have completed the signings of teenagers Samuel Lusale and James Overy.

Winger Lusale, a 17-year-old Slovakia youth international, joins United from Crystal Palace while right-back Overy, 17, arrives from Perth Glory.

United received the necessary clearances from the Premier League and Football Association (FA) to complete the deals for the players, who have been included as under-21 options in the club’s league squad for the 2024-25 campaign.

Lusale has represented Slovakia up to under-18 level, with his eligibility coming through his mother. He also qualifies to represent Zambia through his father.

Both players will link-up with the United’s under-18 team.

The summer transfer window saw United complete the signing of Malian midfielder Sekou Kone, 18, from Malian side Guidars FC, while the club are also looking to complete the signing of  Chido Obi-Martin, the 16-year-old striker from Arsenal.

Senior signings Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugarte were also brought it this summer.

Erik ten Hag’s side have begun the season with two victories and two defeats in the Premier League. They return to action against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
