Kane on target in Bayern draw

Harry Kane made it four goals in four Bundesliga games as he scored in last night’s 2-2 with Bayer Leverkusen.

Kane opened the scoring for Bayern Munich in the seventh minute, with what was his 300th career goal, before Alex Grimaldo equalised for Leverkusen midway through the first half.

The game was open with chances for both sides before Leon Goretzka scored what he, and most of the Allianz Arena, assumed would be the winner in the 86th minute.

But there was more late drama to come as the referee went to the pitchside monitor in added time and awarded Leverkusen a penalty for Alphonso Davies’ push on Jonas Hofmann. Ezequiel Palacios converted and the points were shared, with Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen remaining top of the table.

Fati making instant impression at Brighton

Ansu Fati has made an instant impression on head coach Roberto De Zerbi in training with Brighton.

The Barcelona attacker, signed at the end of the summer window on a loan deal from Barcelona for the season worth £7million, will make his debut at Manchester United today, probably from the bench.

De Zerbi said: “He’s a great guy, a positive guy, always with a smile and with the right behaviour.

“And he’s a different player. It’s clear. We can help him to progress, but he can help us.

“He can become a top player for us this season and this season can be enough to reach our target.”
