Romelu Lukaku has joined Napoli from Chelsea in a permanent transfer.
The 31-year-old striker is set to make his debut for the Italian club in Saturday’s Serie A match against Parma.
Napoli have been keen to reunite the Belgium international with new head coach Antonio Conte for whom he played under for two years at Inter Milan.
The Italian club are also set to complete the signing of midfielder Scott McTominay from Manchester United before the summer transfer window closes on Friday.

Lukaku previously enjoyed the most productive run of his career under Conte at Inter, scoring 34 and 30 goals in 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively. He helped them reach the Europa League final before winning the Italian title and then joined Chelsea for £97.5million in 2021.
Lukaku has been one of those training away from the first-team squad at Chelsea and was not part of the tour party for pre-season in the United States.

Last month, Chelsea and Napoli were in discussions over a deal for Lukaku, with Victor Osimhen potentially heading in the opposite direction on loan.
Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja are also working away from the main group, with Chelsea’s position being they do not want to disrupt preparations for the new season by bloating the group with players who are no longer in their plans. The club would instead prefer for them to focus on securing moves away.
Lukaku played all four of Belgium’s games at Euro 2024, failing to score and registering one assist as they exited at the last-16 stage. He scored 21 goals across all competitions in 47 matches on loan at Roma last season.
