Submit a question for James Boyd’s Indianapolis Colts mailbag

The dust has settled a bit after another lackluster season in Indianapolis. Colts general manager Chris Ballard isn’t going anywhere, and neither is head coach Shane Steichen, as both received public backing from team owner Jim Irsay just hours after the season ended. Anthony Richardson is the presumed starting QB for next season, too, which gives all three franchise pillars another chance to try to turn the corner when the 2025 campaign begins in September.

But obviously, a lot can change — and must change — between now and then. No. 1 on the list right now: hiring a new defensive coordinator. Ballard addressed that forthcoming decision and many other team-related topics during a remorseful end-of-season press conference in which he said he must earn the fans’ “trust back.”

That’s where you all come in. What did you think of Ballard’s year-end comments? Who would you hire as Indy’s next DC? I’m sure you all have many more questions on your mind, so please send them my way, and I’ll answer them later this week in a mailbag.

Thank you!
