We’ll Be in the Garage…Checking out “Icons, Idols and Adoration”

Arts Garage in Delray Beach’s latest exhibition, Icons, Idols, and Adoration, runs through April 28, 2025. The showcase brings together a diverse group of artists celebrating the figures they admire through their work. Featured are Stephanie Gowdy, aka Alyrical, a visually impaired artist exploring African American women in her work; Delray Beach resident Patricia Schuman, who debuts her visual art with pieces reflecting both human and animal faces and the ocean’s movement; Ena Castillo-Barillas, whose photography delves into interfaith dialogue between Christianity and Islam; Anthony Primavera, a self-taught Parkland artist capturing desert landscapes and psychological interiors through charcoal and oil; and Brooklyn-based Hal Yaskulka, whose paintings connect with the human experience. The Marshall Family Foundation Gallery is free to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Visit artsgarage.org.
